The RLS Foundation offers free webinars on topics that are critical to understanding and coping with restless legs syndrome (RLS). Attending a webinar is a great opportunity to share questions and comments with other patients, medical professionals and RLS experts.

Speaker: Donald Bliwise, PhD

RLS in the elderly and cognitively impaired isn't easily diagnosed because patients are often unable to verbalize their symptoms. Dr. Bliwise will discuss recognition and management of RLS in this population.

Dr. Bliwise is Professor of Neurology at the Emory University School of Medicine, where he also holds secondary appointments as Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Professor of Nursing in the Hodgson School of Nursing. His general areas of research have been the description, elucidation of pathophysiology, and treatment of sleep disorders in aged humans, with a special focus on sleep in neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
